Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation. Over 3000 designs in production, over 300 awards and working in over 35 countries attest to Karim's legend of design.
I have been a big fan of the work of Karim Rashid for a while and was so excited when I came across a restaurante in Dubai which he designed. He has a very distinct style which is full of colour. He uses colour in light so often to creat the required look.
Dear Caroline Maguire Designs, I love your site! I especially enjoyed this post on Karim Rashid. I was fortunate enough to visit the Semiramis Hotel which I had gone to countless times while growing up in Athens Greece. When I returned to this hotel in 2004, I was astounded in the changes that had been made to it, nothing I have ever seen before. He had re-designed this hotel and from then on I became a huge admirer of his work. I have not met too many people in my lifetime who appreciate him as much as I do, and it was so great to finally find someone, yourself, who mentioned his work.
